Following a successful first trip over here in May, Nicki Minaj is boarding her Starships again to join us in Australia for concerts in five cities.

Minaj will perform hits from her debut album Pink Friday and her latest release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. She’ll be joined on the tour by young Californian rapper Tyga.

The Trinidadian-born American rapper, singer-songwriter, raised in Queens NYC, is now a global sensation. Minaj’s worldwide album sales exceed three million; she has close to 20 million Facebook Likes and 13 million-plus Twitter followers, making her now the most popular tweeting rap artist.

The openly bisexual star says: “I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we’ll see one in my lifetime.”
